Play loop

Luring a partner in, building up, and coming off the gas before it is too much. Just enough, then less, then a bit more.

The simulation is a sketch, not a baby. infant-model.js implements four mechanisms from the reading β€” optimal rather than maximal arousal, gaze aversion as self-regulation, habituation, and the solicit-then-protest-then-withdraw sequence β€” with numbers chosen to make them visible, not measured from anyone. The partner errs toward under-stimulation: measured against this infant it avoids aversion almost entirely but leaves it bored about a third of the time, which is a real weakness and is recorded as one.
